Ages 5 and Up Theater from A-Z
From acting to crew work, this class covers it all! While building acting skills, added instruction in set construction, prop building, lighting, and more all culminates with these students running the show behind the show! We will begin with the basics of theatre without the pressure of performing with the end result being a boost in self-confidence, theatre skills ranging from back to front of house and everything in between. And will students be a part of the big Broadway musical, you ask? YOU BET! MOST theatre jobs aren’t even onstage and they will need to be filled with these students who just might decide that next year they want to explore the world of performing as well! We all have to start somewhere so YOU’RE WELCOME!
Ages 3 and Up (Must read for speaking parts) Wayfinders on Stage
Board your canoe and begin the voyage of discovery that only the ancient enchantment of the boundless ocean can offer. This slightly more advanced class meets 2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday) and will culminate in a FULL-SCALE musical production (to be officially announced VERY soon)! One class day will be devoted to building acting and theatre foundations, scene and script partner work, musical theatre basics, theatre games and improvisation, and all the fundamentals that make theatrical magic happen. Our 2nd class day will put these learned tools to work in rehearsal for our big Broadway musical. Acting, singing, and dancing are involved in this production so experience in these media is recommended but not required. Auditions will be held for the class after registration and audition material will be provided as soon as we receive them. So, sign up for the wayfinding adventure of a lifetime and ready yourself to discover your inner island chief. And trust me, the ocean is a friend of mine.
