Dancers lined up across the stage during a studio recital

Since 1979

Our Story

Four decades of Pahrump dancers, one studio, and a founder who never stopped teaching.

How it began

From outreach classes to a studio

Donna Lamm studied ballet and modern dance at UNLV under Vassili Sulich, founder of the Nevada Dance Theater, and was a member of the first performing troupe of the UNLV Contemporary Dance Theater. She went on to teach pottery and dance at the then brand new Clark County Community College.

After moving to Pahrump in the late 1970s, Donna became an instructor for the outreach program, teaching dance in the Pahrump and Amargosa valleys before opening her own studio in 1979. What started as a handful of classes has grown into a full dance and theatre school serving students from age three through adult.

In 1993 Donna was a founding member of the Pahrump Visual and Performing Arts Council and served as its president for the first two years. Through PVPAC she brought instruction and demonstrations in dance, pottery and sculpture into classrooms all over Pahrump.

Today the studio is led by Director Alisa Goodman alongside a teaching staff that includes former students who grew up in these studios. Many of our instructors took their first class here, which is exactly the point.
