Every May
The annual dance recital
Recital is scheduled in May, with the exact date depending on the availability of the high school auditorium. Every dancer who wants to perform has a place on stage, and graduating seniors perform a solo spotlight.
Attendance at all dress rehearsals and designated recital times is required for performers, and dancers arrive at call time in costume with hair and makeup done.
Every spring
A full-scale Broadway musical
Our theatre students mount a complete musical each spring, scheduled on a weekend separate from the dance recital whenever the auditorium allows. Auditions determine roles, and every part of the production, from lighting to props to front of house, is run by our own students.
Costumes are selected and assigned only by the costumer. Attendance at all dress rehearsals and performances is required for cast and crew.
