  • BALLET

    Ballet is a classic artistic theatrical dance performed to music with precise steps and gestures.

  • POINTE

    Dancing on pointe is the act of standing on the tips of the toes while performing steps from ballet.

  • JAZZ

    Jazz dance combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance.

  • CONTEMPORARY

    A slow, expressive type of dance that incorporates ballet technique. This dance style’s main goal is to interpret the lyrics of the song through movement.

  • HIP HOP

    Hip-hop dance is a fusion dance genre that incorporates elements of popping, locking, breaking, jazz, ballet, tap dancing and other styles and is typically performed to hip-hop, R&B, funk, electronic or pop music

  • TUMBLING

    A dance class that combines acrobatics/gymnastics with dance.

  • MUSICAL THEATRE

    Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. The story and emotional content of a musical – humor, pathos, love, anger – are communicated through words, music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole.

  • YOGA

    a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation.
